Prof. Curtis Mathieson
In his fifties with grey,
thinning hair, Mathieson is the head of the team and an acknowledged expert on
matters of archaeology and anthropology.

Dr. Henry Ethelrod
Tall,
slender and distinguished looking.
An Englishman in his forties, Ethelrod is an expert on Indo-European languages
and holds a position with the
Charles Granger
American, in
his mid-twenties with red hair and freckles, Granger is a graduate student
working under Mathieson.
Terence Bhule
A Canadian in
his late twenties, a rugged looking individual with red hair, Bhule has
interests in native folklore and religion, and has received acclaim for his
work among the Eskimos and Indians of Canada's east coast.
The Climbers
Philippe Luvois
In his thirties, Philippe is the leader of the French climbing team. Like the others, he sports a thick bushy beard to protect him from the cold. He is the only member of the team to speak more than fragmentary English.

Michel Poncelet
In
his mid-twenties, and an expert climber and skier.

Jean Raymond Gobineau
The third member of the climbing team. In his late teens.
